Window Graphics

Window graphics for shops, offices, and commercial buildings. Includes frosted privacy film, decorative vinyl, one-way vision graphics, promotional signage, and full window coverage that makes glass actually earn its keep.

How much glass does your business have? Shopfront windows, office partitions, meeting room walls, maybe a few glass doors. And most of it sits there doing absolutely nothing. Window graphics change that equation. One application can brand your storefront, block the view into a messy storeroom, cut the afternoon glare, and pull the whole space together. At our Auckland vinyl workshop, we produce window graphics Auckland businesses use on shopfronts, office partitions, and commercial buildings. One job, multiple problems sorted.

What are Window Graphics?

Here's what surprises people about window graphics. The same vinyl application can brand your frontage, screen off a meeting room, reduce sun glare for your staff, and display a sale promotion. All from one install. We use cast and calendered vinyls depending on the situation, one-way vision film for graphics you can see through from inside, and frosted film for that etched glass look at a fraction of the price. Pair window graphics with vinyl lettering for doors and full storefront signage and your street presence is covered.

We handle full window coverage, cut vinyl lettering, frosted privacy film, one-way vision graphics, promotional displays, decorative elements, safety manifestation, and solar control films. For unusual requirements, our custom vinyl sign service tackles bespoke glass applications. We produce window graphics for retail frontages, office partitions, commercial buildings, vehicle windows, and residential glass using materials matched to each specific situation.

Auckland businesses from Manukau retailers to Botany commercial offices count on Falcon Signs for window graphics that turn glass into something that actually works for the business.

When You Need Us

When You Need Window Graphics

1

Retail Window Displays

Shop windows are free advertising. Promotional content, brand imagery, seasonal campaigns. Glass that was doing nothing suddenly pulls people inside.

2

Office Privacy Solutions

Glass partitions look great until you need a private conversation. Frosted film and one-way vision vinyl fix the privacy without killing the light.

3

Meeting Room Identification

Glass-walled meeting rooms need some identification and a bit of visual separation. Branded strips or frosted bands handle both while keeping the open-plan feel.

4

Street-Level Brand Presence

Ground-floor commercial premises with window frontage to the street. That glass is real estate. Make it say something.

5

Solar Heat Management

Massive windows that turn your office into a greenhouse every afternoon? Solar control films knock back the heat and glare without blocking the view.

6

Safety and Compliance

Building codes require visible markings on certain glass panels so people don't walk into them. We make those markings look like intentional design rather than regulatory tape.

7

Promotional Campaigns

Sales, seasonal offers, event promotions. Window graphics go up fast and come down clean when the campaign wraps.

8

Vehicle Window Branding

One-way vision vinyl on rear and side windows turns fleet vehicles into mobile advertising while the driver still sees out clearly.

9

Residential Privacy

Street-facing home windows and bathroom glass. Frosted or decorative film provides privacy without blocking natural light.

10

Faded Graphics Replacement

Old window graphics that have gone cloudy, started peeling, or faded out entirely. We strip the old and put up fresh.

Our Process

Our Window Graphics Process

01

Window Assessment

We check your glass. Type, size, which direction it faces, how much sun it gets, and anything that affects what materials we can use.

02

Requirements Discussion

What do you need from this glass? Privacy? Branding? Sun control? Promotion? Usually it's a combination, and knowing the priorities shapes the approach.

03

Design Development

We create designs that work with your window layout and achieve what you're after. Mock-ups show how graphics will look on your actual glass.

04

Material Selection

Exterior exposure, interior only, specialty films. We spec the vinyl to match your situation rather than using the same material for everything.

05

Design Approval

You see the final designs and approve before production starts. No surprises when we turn up to install.

06

Production

Approved designs go through precision production. Clean cuts, accurate colour, graphics ready for installation.

07

Professional Installation

Our team cleans the glass, positions everything accurately, and gets that bubble-free finish. Sounds simple. It isn't, which is why it matters.

Why Choose Us

Why Choose Falcon Signs for Window Graphics?

Maximise Dead Space

Glass that's currently contributing nothing becomes a branding surface, privacy screen, or promotional display. Often all three.

Multiple Jobs, One Application

Branding, privacy, sun control, safety compliance, and visual appeal from a single window treatment. Few other investments multi-task like that.

Light Stays In

Frosted films, one-way vision, even partial coverage designs maintain natural light while providing privacy or reducing glare. You don't have to choose between light and function.

Installed Right

Bubbles, crooked alignment, poor edge sealing. These things make even great graphics look amateur. We make sure none of that happens.

Durable Materials

Window vinyl that handles sun exposure and cleaning without going cloudy, peeling, or discolouring. Built to last years, not months.

Removable When Needed

Seasonal changes, tenant changeovers, promotional updates. Graphics come off without damaging the glass, and new ones go on.

Frequently Asked Questions - Window Graphics

Several types, and they're not interchangeable. Cast vinyl is the premium option for long-term exterior work. Calendered vinyl handles shorter-term and interior jobs at lower cost. Frosted vinyl gives you that sandblasted glass look for privacy. Perforated vinyl (one-way vision) lets you see through from inside while displaying graphics outside. And optically clear vinyl prints graphics onto glass without any white backing showing through clear areas.

Either works, depending on the situation. Exterior application gives the most vibrant colour but faces weather and potential vandalism. Interior application (second surface) protects the vinyl from the elements and is what we recommend for most shopfronts and offices. Some materials are designed specifically for reverse-print interior application.

Frosted film mimics the look of sandblasted or etched glass using vinyl. Dead simple concept, really effective result. Privacy levels run from light frost (shapes and movement still visible) through medium frost (silhouettes only, no detail) to heavy frost (almost completely opaque). You can frost entire windows or cut patterns, logos, and designs into the film.

The vinyl has tiny perforated holes across it, usually covering 50-60% of the surface. Outside, the printed graphic looks solid because the holes are too small to register from a distance. Inside, your eyes focus through the holes and you see out clearly. One catch: this works because the outside is brighter than the inside. At night with interior lights on, the effect reverses. Works brilliantly during daylight hours though.

Mild soapy water and a soft cloth or squeegee. That's really it. Stay away from abrasive pads, scouring cleaners, or pressure washers, those will lift edges and scratch the surface. For frosted films, put glass cleaner on your cloth first rather than spraying directly onto the film. Regular gentle cleaning is all these need.

Honestly? Usually not well. Window graphics need smooth, flat glass for proper adhesion. Textured glass (reed, hammered, obscure patterns) only contacts the vinyl on the raised bits, which means poor adhesion and a rough result. Light textures sometimes work with thicker vinyl, but heavy textures are basically a no-go. We'll tell you straight during consultation if your glass won't work.

It's those visible markings on glass that stop people walking into clear panels. Building code stuff. New Zealand requires them on certain installations, especially full-height glazing and glass doors. The specs call for contrasting elements between 900mm and 1500mm from the floor. The good news? Manifestation doesn't have to look like boring regulatory tape. We do decorative patterns, frosted bands, and branded elements that tick the compliance box while actually adding to the look of the space.
